Sylvester Stallone: Adele almost dropped the house purchase because of the Rocky statue

The actor is a fan of the musician and finally let her do it.

British singer Adele seems to be a big fan of the “Rocky” film series. As now the Hollywood actor and Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone revealed, the native Londoner would almost not have agreed to the purchase of his villa if he had taken a certain garden ornament with him.

The musician bought Stallone’s former villa last year for $58 million, but only on one condition: the Golden Globe winner had to leave behind a statue of his popular movie character, Rocky. And apparently this condition was meant very seriously. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Stallone unpacked details about the real estate deal with Adele. Before he moved, the movie star, who played the “Italian Stallion” in eight films, actually wanted to take the Rocky statue with him.

However, the “Skyfall” singer insisted that the statue that adorns the property’s swimming pool remain in place. According to Stallone, Adele made it very clear that “there would have been no deal” without the statue. Finally, the actor agreed to the whereabouts of the jewel and at the same time professed to be a fan of her music: “I like what she does. She is wonderful”.

In real life, Stallone has since turned his back on his iconic role, not even appearing as Rocky Balboa in the spin-off sequel Creed III.

Adele, on the other hand, completed a string of performances in glitzy Las Vegas in April this year.
