The great idea came to mind atAnpil Association which deals with children and adolescents at risk in Italy and around the world, who thought of launching the initiative in Milan to guarantee the necessary support to adolescents who come from families in economic difficulty.

In some areas of Lombardy, in fact, the problem of early school leaving is serious and often neglected and for several years ANPIL has launched incisive actions not to leave teenagers alone.
Gallaratese, Quarto Oggiaro, Bovisa are neighborhoods at risk, and the problem isn’t that elementary and middle school kids don’t go to school. They go there, but in a state of total disinteresta condition that inevitably marks their fate.

Loneliness, a feeling that puts kids at risk
For this reason, Anpil, in 2010, opened the Families Listening Areaa place and an operational context where professional operators take charge not only of the needs of children and adolescents but of the whole family and school context.
One of the great problems that has emerged and which has definitely expanded with the pandemic is that of the loneliness experienced by young people connected with others mostly only virtually. This feeling when it is constantthe NGO explains, it becomes dangerous and for this very reason, it was felt that the time had come to support adolescents with psychological support.

Not all, however, can afford to access such help because the cost is not affordable for all families. And this is why it was decided to adopt a method that has been adopted for decades in other areas of Italy: the suspended session.
It will work that those who want can pay for a treatment of this type to those who don’t have the money to do it. AND the response was encouraging. Many have wanted to join the initiative and now interesting spaces are opening up.
