Susanna Griso receives a WhatsApp from the king emeritus about the Super Cup: “Deny it”

Television has paid special attention this Tuesday to the leaking of the controversial conversations between Luis Rubiales Y Gerard Piqué. According to the audios that have come to light, the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Blaugrana central defender would have agreed in 2019 a commission of 24 million euros to bring the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia.

‘Public mirror’ has broadcast an audio in which Piqué asks if Juan Carlos I could “help” in the operation: “He has very good relations with the people there, with the kings or whoever is from the Saudis (…) I think the king here could help us, for sure… The emeritus, huh?“.

Rubiales, for his part, acted with caution. “Phew. If we jump from the Federation to the Government, it will take its toll on us. Another thing is that you do it, but you are going to get involved. I don’t know,” she replied.

After the stir generated, the king emeritus himself has contacted the morning magazine of Antena 3 to disassociate himself from all this matter. Susanna Griso has explained that she had just received a WhatsApp message from her: “I am ready to read you right now a message from King Don Juan Carlos, who is watching us from Abu Dhabi”.

Next, the presenter has read verbatim the statement she had just received: “Susanna, categorically deny it. Piqué sent me a whatsapp to see me, since he was coming to Abu Dhabi to present his Davis Cup, and I told him very kindly that I would not be here. But otherwise, never.”
