Supposedly kidnapped man Spanbroek found in Beverwijk after tips

The man who was probably kidnapped in Spanbroek last Friday was found this afternoon after tips in Beverwijk, about 40 kilometers from the center of Spanbroek. The police say they will interrogate him after he has been medically examined.

The man was found at the beginning of the afternoon at the Breestraat in Beverwijk. A police spokesman said he had no visible injuries. The man did look somewhat confused. “This was reason enough for us to have it checked by a doctor.”

At the beginning of the afternoon it was reported that the man had been seen several times in the vicinity of Beverwijk station. A description of the man has also been distributed via Burgernet. This shows that he speaks English and/or German.

Possible kidnapping

The unknown man was said to have been taken by others in a car on Spanbroekse Herenweg last Friday around 2.20 pm. The police were convinced that he was under duress.

In the night from Friday to Saturday, the police arrested two men in the Memlinclaan in Heerhugowaard. Their exact role in the incident will be further investigated. The arrest of the two has not directly led to the identity and / or whereabouts of the man.
