There was considerable destruction last night by a number of FC Volendam supporters visiting FC Emmen. Chairs in the branch were set on fire and toilets and washbasins were demolished. One toilet seat even ended up on the field in the final phase of the match.
The branch was sold out with just under four hundred supporters. The Orange Army saw FC Volendam lose 4-1 in the battle for the lead.
It is not yet clear whether FC Emmen will recover the costs from the perpetrators. FC Volendam regrets the state of affairs and says it will soon come out with a statement.
