Despite a lot of Boei, the TV interest goes back to the Super Bowl. This should be a headache for the transmitted transmitter.

RTL recorded lower number of spectators when the Super Bowl is broadcast than in previous years. Despite a market share of 54.1 percent in the first quarter and 60 percent in the second quarter in the 14- to 49-year-olds, the broadcaster could not build on the previous successes.

Compared to the previous year, when RTL reached over two million viewers, this time only an average of around 1.55 million people. The declining market share in the advertising-relevant target group of the 14- to 49-year-olds is also particularly disappointing.

The final figures will only exist on Tuesday morning. Nevertheless, it is clear that interest has decreased worldwide this year. Compared to the maximum value of earlier transmissions to ProSiebenSat.1, such as the 2.11 million viewers in 2021, when Tom Brady defeated the Kansas City Chiefs with his Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he even remained significantly behind expectations in 2025.
