The indoor football players of Hovocubo have won the cup tonight. FC Eindhoven was settled in an exciting final. It ended in the Topsportcentrum Rotterdam in 5-2. “A final that had everything in it”, said a radiant Hovocubo trainer Sander van Dijk afterwards.

Just before half time, the score was opened by Yoshua St. Juste. He tapped in after a nice attack. Thirty seconds later it even became 2-0 for the team from Hoorn by an own goal by FC Eindhoven.

Despite the pleasant moment of scoring, the Brabant team came back after the break. Via Said Bouzambou and Oualid Saadouni it became 2-2 six minutes before the end. Hovocubo showed resilience, however, and quickly regained the lead thanks to Abdessamad Attahiri. St. Juste and Karim Mossaoui secured the 5-2 victory in the final minutes.
“After the 2-2 we started playing better football. You also have to be lucky, but we have to pull the trigger much earlier. Also the compliments to FC Eindhoven. Two fantastic teams that have gone to the extreme,” said Van Dijk.
Yoshua St. Juste important
With two hits, St. Juste had a large share in Hovocubo’s victory. “It wasn’t sure if I would make it to the game. I didn’t play last week because my shoulder was bothering me. With some extra painkillers and the goals you don’t feel any pain anymore,” he says after winning the cup.

Earlier in the evening, Os Lusitanos won the women’s cup final. The team from Amsterdam was 4-1 too strong for FC Marlène from Heerhugowaard.
