The first few seconds of this preview feel familiar. That’s right: It’s a time jump back to the first season, more precisely to November 12, 1983, to the moment when Will Byers is hiding in the “Upside Down” in “Castle Byers” until he is discovered by the Demogorgon. But this time we see something new – a breakneck chase in which Will initially escapes. However, the happiness doesn’t last long: the Demogorgon finally captures him and takes his lifeless body to a figure whose existence we didn’t know about in the first season – the ultimate boss and symbol of all evil, Vecna. “Finally we can begin,” Vecna says to an unconscious Will before attacking him. “You and me, we’re going to do beautiful things together, Will,” Vecna says before the scene ends.

Fear of a scary series ending
The video reached 1.7 million views on YouTube within a few hours. The comments are mostly enthusiastic, but many fans also express concern about how dark and sad the finale appears to be. Users are particularly pleased that the focus of the finale appears to be on Will – a character who was often considered the weakest link in the group in the first four seasons, wrongly so, as the new scenes suggest.
Theories are already circulating on social media about what the five minutes could mean. Some “Stranger Things” fans suspect that Will may not have survived in the first season – but was turned into some kind of spy or Horcrux by Vecna.
Premiere in Hollywood – Brown and Harbor on good terms again?
While speculation continues to simmer about the possible end of the Netflix hit, the cast celebrated the premiere of the fifth season in Hollywood on November 6th – also with surprises. Just a few days ago it was announced that series star Millie Bobby Brown had accused her series father David Harbor of harassment on the set. At the premiere, however, the two were in great spirits. No trace of bad blood – at least not in front of the cameras.
Asked about the reunion, Brown told “Extra TV” on the red carpet: “It’s great. We’re so lucky to have each other on the show. The show means so much to both of us – to all of us here.” She also told “Access Hollywood”: “He’s like a father. We’re connected for life.” This seems to have refuted the claims of a source close to the set that Brown and Harbor had fallen out.
