StockX now offers luxury women’s shoes in addition to sneakers.
StockX decided to do so because the demand for luxury brands on the platform is increasing and a third are users, the resale platform announced on Thursday. In addition to women’s shoes, a men’s range with brands such as Hermès, Gucci and Prada will also be offered.
“Consumers have been looking to StockX for hard-to-find luxury handbags and accessories for years, so this launch was a natural next step for us,” said Cynthia Lee, vice president of sneakers, apparel and accessories at StockX. “As our platform has grown, our client base has diversified and we have built an even stronger relationship with our female clientele.”
With the expansion of the range, the new category ‘shoes’ was introduced, which is clearly separated from the sneaker segment. This also includes other shoe models that are not from the luxury range, such as Crocs, Birkenstock, and Timberland.
