The British screenwriter Steven Knight, known as the creator of the successful series “Peaky Blinders”, was officially confirmed as an author for the next James Bond film. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (“Dune”, “Arrival”). The 26th part of the 007 series by Amazon MGM Studios is produced.
The news was first reported by “Deadline” and later confirmed by the studios on Instagram. Knight, who is currently also working on the script for the upcoming “Peaky Blinders” film “The Immortal Man”, is a central creative figure behind several large projects. Knights work other well -known films such as “Eastern Promises”, “Locke”, “Dirty Pretty Things” and “Spencer” as well as series such as “Taboo”, “A Thousand Blows” and “The Veil”.

New bond, new style?
The new Bond film is currently still without a title, occupation or a specific date of publication. Denis Villeneuve was introduced as a director in June and, according to “Variety”, should strive for publication in 2028 at the earliest. Amazon MGM Studios has high ambitions with the project. After the withdrawal of long -time producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the creative responsibility is now completely with the streaming giant. Villeneuve said in a statement: “I want to honor tradition and at the same time pave the way for many new missions. It is also a great responsibility but also an enormous honor.”

Since Daniel Craig’s farewell to “No Time to Die” (2021), speculation has been speculated.
