The Folio Society has launched high -quality bibliophile editions of classic and modern literature since 1947. The British publisher also has its own edition with Stephen King books. Finally, the classic “ES” with illustrations by Jim Burns and an introduction of “Pans Labyrinth” director Guillermo del Toro was also published here.

News of Stephen King’s books very popular
But while you can get a beautifully looking version of “Shining” for just under 70 euros (65 pounds), the special number of “ES” cost just under 577 euros (500 pounds) for the short time that was available.
After years that he was smiled at by literary critics, Stephen King has long since established a status under book collectors as one of the largest American writers. His early masterpieces, all also filmed, are particularly popular with bibliophiles in the elaborately redesigned editions.
The carefully curated folio books are characterized by fine materials (linen cover, embossed Schuber, hand-held text set), originals or specially commissioned illustrations and thread steam. The “ES” version is also signed (but from the illustrator, not from King itself) and numbered. The Edelbücher publishing house not only reveals works of world literature, but also has classics of literary pop culture and non-fiction books.
The latest, now 67th novel by Stephen King, is called “no back” and appeared in German in June. At the center of the action is again a private investigator Holly Gibney.
In the cinema and streaming, King has a boom
It is also a King year on the large and small canvas. On July 13, the series “Das Institut” (MGM+, at Amazon Prime Video) started, on July 24, “The Life of Chuck” is coming to the cinema halls. The new version of “Running Man” can be seen from November 6th, before that in autumn the “ES” continuation “Welcome to Derry” at WoW/Sky as a HBO series.
