Stefan (55) finds it ‘wonderful’ to be in prison: ‘I make works of art there’

“I love being in prison,” says Stefan (55), who has a criminal record of 34 pages. In the cell he can create works of art in peace and find rhythm. In South Rotterdam he appears before the district court, where the judge does not sit to punish, but to understand lives.
