Statue of Rammstein singer Till Lindemann stolen

By Jan Scholz

It’s an honor… God knows he doesn’t want to be an angel (hopefully for a long time): Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann celebrates his 60th birthday on Wednesday.

Artist Roxxy Roxx had (had) given him a very special present in his hometown of Rostock: the Till Lindemann bronze statue stood in front of the block of flats on Berthold-Brecht-Straße in the Evershagen district for less than 24 hours, where the rock star spent some of his childhood years spent.

Now she’s gone, the monument to Lindemann was stolen. The Rostock police have been alerted and are looking for witnesses.

Artist Roxxy Roxx is no stranger to Rostock. Two years ago he set up a bronze statue of Marsimoto, alias singer Marteria (40). However, the 1.30 meter sculpture of the musician was stolen after a few days, just like that of the Berlin rocker now.

Opposite the “ Baltic newspapersaid the artist, who does not want to reveal his real name: “The best thing would be if Rammstein fans were happy and came there to eat a piece of cake or drink a glass of sparkling wine on their birthday.” Schade jam: The sculpture is gone.

Roxxy Roxx says to BILD: “Unfortunately, Till has already been stolen. I was expecting that, but my hope was that he would at least stick around past his birthday.”

But even if now you can only enjoy the pictures of the character on the artist’s Instagram profile, the stranger put a lot of time and money into the monument of the striking singer.

Did Till Lindemann even notice anything about it? “I got no reaction from Till Lindemann’s management. But that is also perfectly fine. They may not have noticed anything about the action,” says Roxy.

In any case, Roxx must have had fun at work. He built the work of art of his own free will: “I have no connection to Till Lindemann. I like Rammstein and that was the only reason.”

Attention to detail: Artist Roxxy shows in an Instagram video how much dexterity he used to model the Lindemann likeness and really made it look real:
