Trabzonspor Vice President Kemal Ertürk announced that a legal process was initiated due to insulting posts and comments against coach Şenol Güneş after the Bodrum FK match. Here is Ertürk’s statement:
“Following the match we played against Sipay Bodrum, unfounded, insulting and disreputable posts about our Coach Mr. Şenol Güneş were detected on social media and various channels.
By our Legal Board; In accordance with the relevant articles of the Turkish Penal Code and Law No. 6222, legal proceedings have been initiated against social media users and sports commentators who exceed the limits of criticism and share insulting content that is unfair, unfounded and devoid of legal basis.
About those who go beyond the limits of criticism and attack personal rights and make slanderous, unfounded accusations and allegations about our coach Mr. Şenol Güneş; “We would like to inform the public that we will follow the process until the end so that they are held accountable before justice, as we did before.”
