The home team first mentioned.

As a home team in the series, the Oilers starts as it was better placed in the NHL regular season. So the first two matches in the series will be played in Edmonton and the next two in Sunris, Florida. Last year, the Panthers started as the home team, who eventually won the championship with a match of 4-3.

The last two of the same teams have met each other in consecutive spring in the Stanley Cup finals in 2008 and 2009. Detroit Red Wings won the 2008 championship, while in 2009 the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Detroists.

This can be done until 1983 and 1984, when the last time we saw the final was seen. The New York Islanders took the -83 championship, while the Edmonton Oilers grabbed a revolution from the Islanders in the spring of -84.

So now Edmonton has the opportunity to continue the statistics and take a revolution from the Panthers.
