Tennis professional Emma Raducanu still has to struggle with a stalker. Another encounter could be prevented.

Emma Raducanu apparently does not come to rest. Shortly before the start of the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon, another stalker excitement arouses: a man who has been harassing the British tennis player for a long time is said to have tried to get tickets for the prestigious tournament.

As several British media report, the security system of the All England Club recognized the ticket request – and blocked it. There is already an injunction against the man.

Raducanu had already struggled with a serious stalking incident in February at the WTA tournament in Dubai. At that time she was so overwhelmed by the situation during her second round game that she broke out into tears and temporarily hid behind the referee chair. A man was then expelled from the stands for “fixed behavior”. Later Raducanu said that they could hardly breathe.

The first encounter with the man is said to have taken place in a café in Dubai. There he presented her a letter and asked for a photo together. What initially appeared like an ordinary fan encounter quickly became worrying. Raducanu said the man told her that “he would follow me everywhere”. Then he continued to watch her in the café. The man noticed her at three tournaments before.

The police in Dubai later confirmed that the man had signed a “formal obligation” to keep away from the tennis player. The name was reported to the tennis authorities.

As early as 2022, Raducanu had had experience with a stalker. At that time, a man was sentenced to non -profit work and was banned from contact.
