Fashionunited has summarized the street style trends for SS26.
Tie becomes serious
What was once considered a symbol of authority, bureaucracy and desolate boardrooms experienced a revival in spring/summer 2026 – but without the experimental escapades of past seasons. The tie is taken seriously again.

While it has been misused as a hair band, belt or even top replacement in recent years, you can now see her again wherever she belongs: on the neck, under a classic shirt collar, tied up accurately. But that does not mean that it goes back to the back-to-business mode: The look remains relaxed-thanks to loosely falling men’s shirts, slightly washed-out jeans, oversized jeans jackets or suede jackets in college style.
Caramel textures
In terms of color, caramel tones in particular dominated the streets of Paris, Milan, New York and London. These warm brown and beige tones were often used in fur and suede optics and proved to be a perfect answer to the changeable temperatures of the season.

The palette pulled through voluminous fake fur coats, butter-soft suede and structured oversized silhouettes, which gave the trend a velvety warmth and at the same time casual elegance.
Diamond club
The Argyle Karo also celebrates a comeback-but not as a nostalgic golf club pattern, but as a stylish statement. In SS26, the classic design was spilled generously on the streets, such as on shoulders, skirts and coordinated sets.

The pattern was often interpreted at an angle, sometimes asymmetrically cut or staged with conscious fracture of style. A roughly knitted sweater with a deep V-neck brings the caro modern to the street, combined with a loosely falling skirt that gives the look lightness and movement. A finely knitted set also looks particularly exciting, in which the pattern runs diagonally over the body.
Form before function
In addition to classic fabrics and patterns, there was another, almost sculptural trend. Clothing that does not play around the body, but reins up. Instead of functionality, the silhouette was in the foreground – voluminous, inflated, almost like a portable work of art.

The looks reminded of cloud formations, pillow mountains or balloon sculptures. Rocked satin skirts piled up into blown bubbles, dresses were provided with multi -layered upholstery and lavish volume structures merged fashion and sculpture.
Charmant minor matters
Street style is no longer just a stage for fashion – but also for the small, charming details of everyday life. There is the oversized “I Heart Milano” cup, which acts almost like a love letter to the city and at the same time brings a playful twist to the outfit, or the biscuit packaging from Moschino, which was quickly converted into a pocket.

Of course, the well-known coffee-to-go cup, which is of course so naturally integrated into the looks, should also not be missing that it has long been more than just supplier.
Rugby polo reloaded
Hardly any piece of clothing embodies sportiness and Preppy-Chic as much as the striped polo-and yet it experiences an update in SS26 that catapults it directly from the rugby field onto the streets of the fashion metropolises.

Wide block strips dominated in black and white or navy-classic, but combined with new styling ideas. As a mini dress with a tulle skirt, casually inserted into gray fold shorts or together with elegant tightening shorts and jacket. The rugby polo is varied and proves that it is much more than a sporty basic. Grobe lace-up boots or Mary-Janes with lace stockings also give the masculine-looking strip pattern a surprisingly playful note.
Ladies in Red
In addition to caramel, diamonds and ties, there was another, unmistakable trend, the power of the color red.

A strictly cut suit in signal red was almost sculptural, while another look was reminiscent of the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood: a red cloak with a hood, combined with patterned tights, loafers and a four -legged friend as an accessory. Sporty, elegant, the color was interpreted in the form of a sleeveless top to the wide-cut trousers, accentuated by opera gloves made of leather and an oversized fringed pocket.
Sequins for the day
Glitzer was also not to be missed in the street style SS26 – but not in its classic, evening form, but newly thought for the day. Caillettes, long limited to cocktail dresses or red carpet looks, were confidently integrated into the urban street scene.

A look combined a colorfully striped skirt with shiny hem and sporty adidas jacket, another rely on a sequin-occupied MIDI skirt under a utility jacket, worn with flat sandals. A third style played with maximum contrast: a skirt made of sparkling sequins in pastel green, combined with a checkered wool jacket in the oversize cut.
