Labubu, customs duties and a fight

The starting point of the currently broadcast “South Park” episode is Butter’s attempt to buy his girlfriend Red a label figure. The coveted collecting dolls are available in a Chinese pop-up store, where they are supposed to use the problem with the trade tariffs as clarification of the problem. “These tariffs are unfair, so the stuff costs more,” explains the seller, while the price increases from $ 85 to $ 120. Trump scandal: affair with the devil?

The president is celebrated as an admirable man, while the broadcaster enthusiastically explains that demonic pregnancies ran differently: the result is a grotesque baby.

Jesus, JD Vance and Kid Rock in the Chaos mix

Provocations with tradition

The previous episodes of season 27 made headlines. With the controversial episode “Got a Nut” Trey Parker and Matt Stone targeted US Minister Kristi Noem, who was satirically presented as a shooting politician. Trump’s vice candidate JD Vance and the immigration office ICE were also portrayed.

In the episode “Sermon on the Mount”, the makers, in turn, took the satire to the extreme, by letting Donald Trump run through the desert as a Deepfake version and involved Jesus in absurd legal proceedings.

The new episode seamlessly ties in with the previous mix of taboo breaks and political provocation. The next episode of the series will run on Comedy Central and Paramount+on September 17th.
