Provocations with tradition
The previous episodes of season 27 made headlines. With the controversial episode “Got a Nut” Trey Parker and Matt Stone targeted US Minister Kristi Noem, who was satirically presented as a shooting politician. Trump’s vice candidate JD Vance and the immigration office ICE were also portrayed.
In the episode “Sermon on the Mount”, the makers, in turn, took the satire to the extreme, by letting Donald Trump run through the desert as a Deepfake version and involved Jesus in absurd legal proceedings.
The new episode seamlessly ties in with the previous mix of taboo breaks and political provocation. The next episode of the series will run on Comedy Central and Paramount+on September 17th.
