Social influencer Sonja Aiello25, the judgment remains permanent. The Helsinki District Court sentenced Aiello’s rapper William ie Ville Virtanen28, for assault to fines.
Aiello appealed the district court’s verdict in October to the Helsinki Court of Appeal and demanded that the charge be dismissed or the sentence be reduced. The Court of Appeal did not grant permission for further proceedings in the case.
Aiello abused his then-spouse Virta on October 30, 2021 in their shared home in Helsinki. In the skirmish, Aiello’s phone hit the corner of Virta’s eye. The corner of the eye bled profusely and left a scar.
According to Aiello, it was an accident when Virtanen had pressed him against the bed at the end of the argument and thus prevented him from leaving the apartment.
The couple divorced in the spring of 2022.
Virtanen filed a criminal complaint about the matter only a year after the incident, when the possibility of filing a complaint came up in a therapy discussion. According to him, no one pressured him to file a criminal report.
Aiello was sentenced to 60 daily fines for the assault, of which he had to pay 3,240 euros. In addition, he has to compensate Virtane one thousand euros for temporary and permanent inconvenience and about 3,000 euros for court costs.
