“Someone might think this is codependency”

Larms do almost everything together.

Talk and Juha Larm have been married for six years next summer. The eight-year relationship has always contained passionate love and togetherness. For some, even too much.

– We have a strange symbiosis, because it’s just so good for us to be together, Jutta Larm describes to Iltalehti Race Across the World at the program’s press conference.

Juha and Jutta train together, manage everyday life together, work together and spend relaxed free time together. In almost everything you do, your partner is involved in one way or another.

However, Juha Larm does not recommend the same relationship for everyone.

– I can only recommend this to us, because we feel this is good. Every relationship is unique and has its own legalities and rules. This is not everyone’s thing, but it is our thing, says Juha.

Full freedom

Juha believes that the same-mindedness is the reason why the couple have such a good time together. Jutta, on the other hand, wants to stress that it is by no means a case of codependency, even if someone might think so.

– Someone might think that this is codependency, but this is definitely not. We have complete freedom to be how we want. Neither of them is telling the other that they should be sloppy here, but we want to be like this, Jutta emphasizes.

Race Across the World – program, the couple learned new things about each other. In the program, couples travel without planes, phones or credit cards around the world on a minimalist travel budget. Juta thinks the trip went well. He also saw aspects of Juha that he had no knowledge of before.

– Juha is really calm, so I was surprised by how competitive he was. Our motto was to go easy and enjoy, but suddenly we just wanted to be faster and faster. I wouldn’t have believed that, Jutta describes.
