Social grocer Antenne doubles its customers in 5 years

Natacha Waldmann, alderman for Welfare and Care Oostende: “Antenna has been in existence for five years and in that period we have almost doubled. We reach more than 500 people today with this social grocer, and that is of course a very nice story.”

Antenne employs 7 staff members and 45 volunteers. It is also a meeting place where people can practice their Dutch and there are homework classes for the children. And people who come to the store can also go there with all their questions. Ewoud Dutellie, Antenne: “Most requests for help are about administration. People who receive a lot of letters from different authorities but do not always understand those letters well.”

Antenne would also like to help its customers in the future in the digital world and purchase iPads.
