Recommendations of the editorial team
After the withdrawal of RTL+ as a provider of Rock am Ring, the Hurricane Festival is now changing the streaming partner. MagentaTV takes over the transmission of the music festival this year. The Hurricane Festival will take place from June 20 to 22, 2025 for the 26th time in Scheeßel, Lower Saxony, and is accompanied by MagentaTV with a free live stream.
Three days of Festival Live and Free
The live stream extends over all three festival days and is accompanied by the moderator: inside Kessy Schygulla and Markus Kavka. In addition to the transfer to MagentaTV and #dabeitV, the festival is also streamed on magenta music, Tiktok and Facebook – free of charge and without subscription. In addition to the concerts, there should also be exclusive backstage insights, interviews with artists: inside and impressions from the festival site. MagentaTV promises a reporting “from the campsite to the main stage”. The more precise timetable is not yet known.
For customers: Inside Deutsche Telekom, exclusive offers are available via the “Magenta Moments” program. These include, for example, grandstand places, access to selected stage areas, meet & greets or backstage tours. Participation is possible via the Meinmagenta app. In addition, Telekom provides several temporary mobile phone masts on the festival site to improve network quality.
Hurricane and Southside: two festivals, a line-up
Just as Rock am Ring has his counterpart Rock in the park, the Southside twin festival is available for the Hurricane Festival. Both events share an almost identical line-up. Around 70 acts are on the program in 2025, including Green Day, The Prodigy, AnnenMayKantereit, Apache 207, Rise Against, Alligatoah, Electric Callboy and SDP. Already on Thursday evening, before the official start of the festival, warm-up parties will take place at both festivals.
Tickets for both festivals are available via the official festival website. Day tickets cost around 129 euros (Hurricane and Southside), weekend tickets around 269 euros (Hurricane) and 289 euros (Southside). Last year both festival counted around 140,000 visitors: inside.
