Braunschweig in the throes of winter: The Eintracht Stadium is also partially covered in snow. The BTSV professionals use this for a fun session.
At Eintracht Braunschweig The mood is great a week before the start of the second half of the season in the 2nd Bundesliga. At least that’s what a latest clip that the club published on social media on Thursday suggests.
The second division team’s professionals are apparently unimpressed by the winter weather, which is currently also having a firm grip on Braunschweig and is causing numerous restrictions in the Lion City. The BTSV players use the blankets of snow in the Eintracht Stadium on Hamburger Straße for a snowball fight.
“Boys will be boys,” the club writes about the video, in which several professionals can be seen. Among others, captain Sven Köhler, goalkeeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann, striker Sebastian Polter and defensive players Fabio Di Michele Sánchez and Leon Bell Bell are having a lot of fun with the masses of snow on the edge of the pitch.
Snowballs fly back and forth, the professionals scream and laugh. In the end, Di Michele Sánchez was particularly affected, as his teammates lathered him with snow.
In exactly seven days, things will get serious again for Eintracht: On January 16th, BTSV will host 1. FC Magdeburg (kick-off: 6:30 p.m.) and would like to continue the good run at the end of the past year. Thanks to ten points from the last four league games, Eintracht wintered in 13th place in the table. However, the gap to the relegation zone is still only three points.
A test match during the winter break did not take place. VfL Bochum, who were scheduled to be opponents, canceled this at short notice.
