Snooker feud between Ronnie O’Sullivan and Ali Carter escalates

There has been bad blood between the two snooker stars since Ronnie O’Sullivan shoulder-butted Allister Carter in the 2018 World Cup final, in which Carter celebrated one of his few direct victories. After the Masters final on Sunday, the mood escalated again. O’Sullivan in particular dealt violently against his opponent.

Thanks to a furious comeback, snooker superstar Ronnie O’Sullivan secured his eighth Masters title on Sunday with a 10-7 win over Allister Carter. The 48-year-old set a record and is now both the youngest and oldest player to win the second oldest tournament on the snooker tour. The mood afterwards was not very celebratory.

Carter opened the verbal skirmish when he complained to the media after the final that O’Sullivan had spit on the carpet during the game and had generally behaved “outrageously”. In addition, “The Captain” attacked the audience, most of whom were rooting for O’Sullivan, in the worst possible way: “There were a few idiots in the crowd. It’s really unbelievable,” the “Mirror” quotes Carter, who partly expressed himself during his attacks felt massively disturbed. “If brains were dynamite, they wouldn’t have enough to blow your head off. It’s ridiculous.”

“I don’t give a shit about snooker players like that”

Confronted by journalists with Carter’s angry speech and accusations, O’Sullivan then burst his collar.

Carter needs to “get his damn life under control,” opened “The Rocket.” “I’m no longer going to walk around him like I’m walking on eggshells: he’s a damn nightmare!” The seven-time world champion didn’t mince his words and continued to dish it out afterwards.

“He’s not a nice person. When he’s at the table, there’s not a good atmosphere,” everyone knows. “He’s got problems. Damn, why does he have problems with me? I don’t have them. I don’t care, grow some balls. I don’t give a shit about snooker players like that, any of them. The more he does it starts, the more I’ll punish him every time. He’s just digging himself a grave.”

As a child, he spent a lot of time with Carter and shared things, but now he gossips about him, O’Sullivan continued. With his middle finger extended, O’Sullivan turned to his compatriot: “He can have this! He can sit on it for all I care.”
