Smash Mouth’s Steve Harwell has died at the age of 56

Steve Harwell, singer of Smash Mouth, known for the hit All Star, has died.

The singer of Smash Mouth, who has been suffering from health problems for a long time Steve Harwell, 56, has died. The departure will be confirmed by his manager Robert Hayes.

The manager tells For Rolling Stone Harwell surrounded by his deceased family and friends.

The death was not a surprise as Harwell was in hospice care due to liver failure.

Harwell has had health problems for a long time due to excessive alcohol consumption. Over the years, he has been diagnosed with, among other things, heart muscle disease, heart failure and a brain disease called Wernicke’s syndrome. The illness is caused by his excessive alcohol consumption.

Harwell is best known for being founded in 1994. From the band Smash Mouth. The singer left the band due to health problems in 2021 and retired.

The band initially focused on neo-ska music, but later released retro-style songs. The band’s most successful album was released in 1999 Astro Lounge and the band’s best-known hits include, among others All Star, I’m a Believer and Then the Morning Comes. So far, the band has not publicly commented on the health of its former frontman.
