It has been easy for HSV fans in the past seven years: they alone needed a subscription to the Pay TV station Sky. The Munichers have been broadcasting all games of the 2nd Bundesliga, relegations and the DFB Cup for many years. This comfort is over with the promotion to the Bundesliga.
For the 2025/26 season, the DFL has concluded new contracts with its media partners. There Sky continues to share the rights with DAZN – but a lot has changed in the division of the individual games. Sat.1 also mixes with.
This is new: the Friday game of the Bundesliga will be seen again at Sky. The kick -off is always at 8.30 p.m. From 7.30 p.m., the broadcaster will contact the “Floodlight Friday” from the stadiums and stay on the air until 11:15 p.m.
On Saturdays Sky and DAZN share the transmissions. The individual games from 3:30 p.m. and also the top games on Saturday evening at 6.30 p.m. at Sky. In the afternoon, the reporters report from the stadiums from 3:15 p.m., from 5:30 p.m. “All games, all goals” starts as usual. The transmission of the top game starts at 5:30 p.m. and ends around 9:15 p.m.
The legendary Bundesliga conference is now transferring DAZN, Sky has lost the popular format after 25 years. DAZN reports on Bundesliga Saturdays from 2 p.m. and stays on the air until around 6.45 p.m. In addition to the broadcasts in the DAZN app, the Bundesliga conference also runs on the linear TV channel DAZN 1 HD, which is available, among other things, via Sky.
The Bundesliga is firmly in the hands of DAZN on Sundays. The platform broadcasts all games at 3:30 p.m. and at 5:30 p.m. There are also 15 games per season that start at 7.30 p.m.
Three Bundesliga games per season may be shown on freely receiving television. In addition to the opening game Bayern Munich – RB Leipzig (August 22, 8.30 p.m.), rights holder SAT.1 decided on the Friday games of the 15th and 16th matchday. It is not yet clear what games these are: On these weekends, the HSV only has to go against Frankfurt at home (December 20-22), then abroad in Freiburg (9-11.1.).
On Friday evening, the “Sportschau” will no longer be on the air with One, but in the first. Reason: For the first time, the institution can also send highlights of the Friday evening game of the 1st Bundesliga directly after the final whistle. On the first two match days, the Friday “Sportschau” is in the program from 11.10 p.m.
