Skriniar out of PSG plans: Napoli emerges

Returning to Serie A would be an unexpected turning point for the former Inter captain. Skriniar left Milan in the summer of 2023 as a free agent, also because the Nerazzurri club had refused to accept a transfer negotiation one year before the contract expired. In the meantime, the Slovakian has gone from starter to bench player, to one too many element in a squad that Lucho wants to re-establish by also purging striker Kolo Muani. For this reason, Napoli has come forward to explore the possibility of a bridging loan, to be transformed into a permanent transfer at the end of the season. Skriniar, under Vesuvius, would above all find the coach with whom he won the scudetto in 2021. And who also appreciates him in view of the project of remaining a protagonist in Serie A, returning to being competitive in Europe. Skriniar’s experience would therefore be useful, beyond the limited number of games available, at least in the first phase.

There is also the obstacle of salary, given that the central defender earns 10 million net. A figure that did not scare two Turkish clubs.
