The crème de la crème of the ski boss has prevailed at the World Cup in Gudauri. Right in the middle: Florian Wilmsmann, who took a strong second place in Georgia.
The Oberbayer Wilmsmann fought himself on the demanding course in the winter Gudauri to the final and only had to surrender to the outstanding Reece Howden from Canada. Simone Deromedis, who most recently won in Val di Fassa, landed in third place.
Deromedis was in second place for a long time, but had no chance against Wilsmann’s brilliant attack on the last meters. The German drove cleverly and also celebrated an important victory against the Italian in the fight for the overall World Cup. However, the man of the day was Howden, who hovered over the route and drove to victory safely.
For Jonas Bachl-Staudinger, it was over in the quarter-finals. Cornel Renn had to delete the sail in the round of 16.
Skicross women: Ko in the quarter-finals
The World Cup was disappointing for the German ski chic. Daniela Maier, Veronika Redder and Luisa Klapprott divorced in the quarter -finals and thus missed both the small and grand finale. The victory went to the Italian Jole Galli, who again prevailed against the Swiss long -running favorite Fanny Smith. Courtney Hoffos (Canada) made it third onto the podium.
