In the fight for precious metal, it quickly develops that three countries have the chance of gold. In the end it will be very exciting.

Led by Vice World Champion Selina Freitag, the German ski jumpers at the World Cup in Trondheim won bronze in the team competition. Friday, Katharina Schmid, Agnes Reisch and Juliane Seyfarth landed on the normal hill with 846.5 points behind hosts Norway (904.5) and Austria (885.1).

Already after the first round there was a three -way battle for gold: defending champion Germany was just behind Norway and in front of Austria in second place. After the break, the DSV quartet left too many points. A strong last jump from Friday, which Silver won on Friday, no longer helped. Slovenia (792.9) with the new world champion Nika Prevc was already in fourth place. “Now the whole team can be celebrated, we all did it really well,” said Friday on ZDF: “We will initiate it.”

The Norwegians who had always brought bronze in the previous three World Cup competitions were not to be beat. Anna Odine Strøm, Eirin Maria Kvandal, Ingvild Synnøve Midtskogen and Heidi Dyhre Traaserud ensured the third Norge gold in the third competition of the day.

The DSV quartet had won gold both at the 2019 World Cup premiere and 2023. In contrast, at the 2021 home World Cup in Oberstdorf, it was only enough for fifth place.
