The empire strikes back: World champion Marco Odermatt won the Super-G at the home game in Crans-Montana. The 27 -year -old Swiss won in front of his compatriot Alexis Monney (+0.28 seconds) and the Italian Dominik Paris (+0.39).
Odermatt had to give up on the departure on Saturday. In the triple success of the once more superior Swiss, he had become second behind world champion Franjo von Allmen.
Third was Monney. The Swiss men are currently the measure of things in the alpine. They had won ten medals at the World Cup in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
For Odermatt it was already the eighth World Cup success of winter in front of his enthusiastic home fans in Crans Montana, where the World Cup was held in 2027, the third in the Super-G. The superstar leads the World Cup overall ranking and also the discipline evaluation.
