The candidate of PP to the mayor of Barcelona, Daniel Sirerahas been claimed this Sunday as only non-independence “change” option in the next municipal elections in the Catalan capital, against a mayor of the PSC, Jaume Collboni, which is “co-responsible for the current bad policy”. This was stated after participating in the events to celebrate Andalusia Day organized by the Federico García Lorca Cultural Center, in the Parque de la Guineueta, together with the Minister of the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Sanz.
“There are a lot of people who believe that the change happens through the PSC, through Jaume Collboni. I ask the citizens of Barcelona not to be fooled. Collboni is co-responsible for the bad politics that we are suffering today in the city of Barcelona”, warned Sirera. According to the candidate, “if they want to change the government, if they want a government like that of Juanma Moreno in Andalusia”, the citizens of Barcelona should bet on Sirera.

The PP, Sirera has assured, aspires to have enough strength to “condition” the future municipal government: “We are the only non-independence center and center-right force that can enter the Barcelona City Council”. “All those people who want a change of government that is not pro-independence, who trust the PP”, she has raised. As for the mayor of JxCat, Xavier Triashas warned that, “if he can, he will govern hand in hand with ERC” and “will try to make a government leaning towards independence”, to “put Catalonia at the service of this Catalan republic that they want to build.
For his part, Sanz highlighted the “strength of the Andalusians in Catalonia”: “Of all the Andalusians who are outside Andalusia, 50% are in Catalonia. Therefore, the weight of Andalusia in Catalonia is very important”, has underlined. Sanz explained that the Andalusian government, “as President Juanma Moreno has already announced”, plans to “appoint a delegate from Andalusia in Catalonia” to be in charge of “maintaining the link” with all Andalusian groups.
