On the creditor scheduled for the end of the month: Inner assembly of the insolvent fashion chain Sinn, surprisingly not only coordinated not only via one, but by two takeover offers.

After the Düsseldorf fashion retailer Peek & Cloppenburg had already expressed its interest in January and the Federal Cartel Office gave the transaction in February, Isabella Göbel has now also presented its own bankruptcy plan. The current owner of Sinn is aiming for the company’s continuation. A company spokesman confirmed the second offer on Wednesday at the request of Fashionunited. The industry magazine Textilwirtschaft had already reported about Göbel’s interest.

Insolvency administrators and court have already agreed

According to the company, the plan submitted by Göbel was already rated as “realistic and good” by the insolvency administrator. The responsible court has already admitted it. The final decision now lies with the creditors: inside. The corresponding meeting is scheduled for April 28th.

If the plan is accepted, the company would remain under Göbel’s control. She has been holding the shares in the Sinn-Muttergesellschaft SLE since 2017 and has been working closely together with insolvency administrator Michael Mönig from the Mönig Wirtschaftsbail and the restructuring expert Jan Ockelmann from SGP Schneider Geiwitz Nord, which was commissioned by the management.

However, it is not the first bankruptcy with which Göbel is confronted with Sinn. The current procedure has already been the fourth within the past 20 years – and the second only four years.
