Leen Persijn was born in Tielt on November 23, 1943. After obtaining a degree in Plastic Arts, she studied theater at the Ghent Conservatory.
Persijn was active on stage as an actress, singer and comedian, but also presented youth programs on the then BRT. For example, she was the central figure in the program ‘Toets’ for many years, together with Frank Dingenen.
