Signing national player Mo Dahoud fixed

He has already played over 200 Bundesliga games. Now Mo Dahoud is back in Germany. In the future he will play for VfB Stuttgart.

VfB Stuttgart struck on the last transfer day and signed Mo Dahoud. The club announced this on Thursday. The two-time national player most recently played for English first division club Brighton & Hove Albion.

Dahoud has been given a contract until June. VfB has secured a purchase option for the 28-year-old. Dahoud is quoted in a statement from the club as saying: “It’s nice to be able to play in the Bundesliga again. VfB is a great club with a great tradition and great fans. The team plays exciting and impressive football.”

The central midfielder further added: “I already know a few players from the U21 national team. I’m looking forward to seeing you again at VfB and can’t wait to get started on the pitch with the team.”

“Valuable additional option”

VfB sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth is also pleased: “Mo has already proven his enormous footballing quality in the Bundesliga and internationally. We are sure that he will quickly find his way with us and will therefore be a valuable additional option for our game from now on.”

Dahoud had already played over 200 Bundesliga games before moving to England. He played for Gladbach (2013 to 2017), where he also came through the youth teams and made it to the professionals. After his stint there, he moved to Borussia Dortmund (2017 to 2023).

The move to England followed last summer. He made 14 appearances in the Premier League. Most recently he remained in the squad at Brighton & Hove without playing or was not in the squad at all.
