Significantly more Ukrainians fled to the EU after travel restrictions were relaxed

Significantly more people fled from Ukraine to EU countries in September, reports the European statistics agency Eurostat. In September, 79,000 Ukrainians exercised their right to temporary protection in the European Union to flee the war in their country. That is an increase of 49 percent compared to August.
