Five postponements on Monday in Serie C, including four in the southern group. Here’s what happened, remembering the mid-week appointment: on Wednesday 28 February, in fact, the return semi-finals of the Italian Cup, Padova-Lucchese and Catania-Rimini, will be scheduled. And in both cases the away team will start with a one-goal advantage.

group a

Under the downpour, Legnago-Atalanta U23 ends 1-1: Massimo Donati’s team – a great former Nerazzurri player – takes the lead with Viero at the start, the equalizer goes to substitute Vanja Vlahovic, a 19-year-old Serbian who scored his first goal among the greats (no relation with the Juventus player and top scorer of the Primavera championship with 18 goals).

group c

The mini-crisis is swept away and Juve Stabia wins again, making the hard-fought derby with Turris its own (1-0, with Giannone’s crossbar at the end) consolidating the lead: the flash that makes Menti celebrate, once again, it is that of Andrea Adorante (super reinforcement from January, six goals in nine games since he arrived in Castellammare). The closest pursuer – thanks to the Sunday slowdowns of Picerno and Avellino – is now Auteri’s Benevento, seven points away from the top: with Sorrento (unlucky in the first half due to Vitale’s post) it ends 4-0, in a rampant recovery thanks to goals from Ciano, Ciciretti (returned to high levels), Bolsius and Simonetti. Third victory in a row for Foggia, which makes Silvio Baldini’s debut on the Crotone bench bitter: ahead of Zaccheria with Zanellato following an error by goalkeeper Perina, the guests are overturned (2-1) by the incredible brace of defender Silvestro, former Inter’s spring team, who arrived in the winter transfer market from Fiorenzuola. Without great emotions the all-Puglia salvation challenge between Francavilla and Monopoli: 0-0 before the eyes of the president of the Lega Pro Marani, invited for the inauguration of the new grandstand of the Nuovarredo Arena.

beyond barriers

Yesterday’s great initiative in Chiavari should be underlined: for the first time, before Entella-Fermana, the lineup of the two teams was read in Braille, a reading and writing method for blind and partially sighted people. Exceptional speaker, from the sidelines, the young Elisa Avanza, member of the Italian Blind Union of Chiavari. A practical demonstration, wanted by President Gozzi’s club, to make the entire public of the Municipality understand how fundamental Braille is still today in the lives of those with visual disabilities.
