The 2024 European Football Championship in Germany is casting its shadow ahead. Group D with France, the Netherlands, Austria and a playoff qualifier is considered one of the tournament’s toughest groups. All information about the game schedule, TV times and team checks can be found at sport.de.

Anyone who finds preliminary group A with Germany, Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland at the 2024 European Football Championship tricky may not have taken a look at European Championship Group D yet.

There are already strong teams facing each other: vice world champions France, the Netherlands and Austria. Poland, Estonia, Wales and Finland will determine the fourth group participant in the playoffs at the end of March.

European Football Championship 2024 in Germany, Group D: France in the team check

  • Vice world champion France won the European Championship ticket as winner of qualification group B.
  • With 22 points (seven wins, one draw) and 29:3 goals, the Équipe Tricolore were unbeaten ahead of the Netherlands (18 points), Greece (13), Ireland (6) and Gibraltar (0).

On Thursday, March 21st, the following will face each other:

  • Poland – Estonia (8:45 p.m.)
  • Wales v Finland (8:45 p.m.)

The winners of these games will determine the European Championship participants in a playoff on March 26th.
