COnsuelo Mollicone was 28 years old In 2001 when his sister Serena, who was 18 years old, was killed. He lived in Milan, away from Arce, the village in the province of Frosinone where he was born and where his family remained.
He faced the pain for that devastating loss, the chatter put around his sister as often happens when you throw each other against the victims and not against their executioners, The investigations that ended up in nothing, the obsessive research of his father to look at the killer in his face Finally, his death of his death, the end of a man struck down by the tragedy and the impossibility of knowing the truth about what happened that June 1 of 24 years ago.
Consuelo Mollicone has spent all these years asking just justicewithout controversy, without ever saying wrong words, accepting the evolution of investigations even when they proved incorrect. And a few weeks ago, when The Court of Cassation has ordered a new trial against the general of the carabinieri Franco Mottola, his wife Anna Maria and his son Marcoall accused of competition in voluntary murder, has maintained the same behavior.

It appeared determined to do anything in order to know the truth about that crime but always with a right and respectful attitude. “My sister was a clean girl, she loved legality. She had noticed that in Arce there was a shop that also involved Marco Mottola. And they stopped her mouth. I didn’t want to believe it, my father had also tried not to let me know about finding his body. Many in Arce remained silent when they should speak and tell the truth. I hope that the new process finally puts the word fine and returns to Serena and my father, who died without justice, the truth they deserve, “he said.

Franco Mottola was the commander of the Arce barracks where Serena entered June 1 and from which it does not appear to have come out. He and his family have always said they were innocent but he should have provided explanations on what had happened. Instead, he did not do it, or at least not convincingly.
The moment has now come. If it really has nothing to do with the crime, it should at least answer doubts about what happened on the day of the murder in the barracks that commanded. To respond to the right claim of truth and justice that Consuelo Mollicone has been waiting for for 24 years (Corriere.it).
