The German record champion Elisabeth Seitz kept her chance of successfully defending her title on the uneven bars at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antalya.
The 29-year-old from Stuttgart qualified in the prelim with a strong exercise for the medal decision on Saturday.
Emma Malewski, on the other hand, cannot repeat her last year’s European Championship triumph on the balance beam. The 18-year-old from Chemnitz fell during the qualification and was eliminated.
The German team reached their minimum target and qualified for the World Championships in October in Antwerp with a ninth place. This is where the tickets for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will be allocated.
