The official trailer for The Stones and Brian Jones has been released. The new documentary about The Rolling Stones, directed by Nick Broomfield, will be shown in select cinemas for one night on November 7th before opening on November 17th digitally on some common home theater platforms appears. It is not yet possible to see in which cinemas on the manufacturer’s website (“Magnolia Pictures”) or on the film’s website.

The 75-year-old Brit Nick Broomfield is a master of music documentaries and has also directed “Biggie & Tupac” (2002), “Whitney – ‘Can I Be Me’” (2017) and “Marianne & Leonard: Words of Love” ( 2019).

In 1962 the Stones appeared for the first time with Brian Jones on guitar, Mick Jagger on vocals, Keith Richards on guitar, Dick Taylor on bass, Ian Stewart on piano and Tony Chapman on drums. On June 8, 1969, the Stones parted ways with founding member Brian Jones. Just a few days later, on July 2, 1969, Jones was found dead in his pool.

As “Magnolia Pictures” describes, the latest documentary about Brian Jones and the Stones wants to explore the phenomenon surrounding the musicians, but especially wants to bring Jones to the fore. You can see insightful interviews with all the main players and, of course, previously unpublished archive material.
