The dog that was saved on Friday evening from a car that was hit by a train on a railway crossing on the Daalakkerweg in Eindhoven has died. This is reported by an incidents fighter from ProRail. Earlier the driver and another dog were killed in the collision.
The car in which the driver and the dogs were sitting was dragged a good number of meters by the train. The havoc on the track was great. There were fragments of the car everywhere. The train was also damaged at the collision.
The driver was not injured, but he was very shocked. There were no travelers on the train.

Cut open
The driver and a dog who were in the car were killed instantly. The second dog was still taken alive from the hit car. This was a major operation. Parts of the back of the car had to be cut open for this. Eventually the fire brigade managed to get the animal out together with a police director of the police.
The fire brigade then carried the dog over the track and over a ditch to the animal ambulance. The animal was rushed to a vet, but in the end did not make it.
