Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt will have to do without central defender Hrvoje Smolcic for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old suffered a lateral meniscus injury during the Croatia U21 national team’s international match in England on Tuesday and will require surgery. As the club announced, Smolcic will undergo surgery next Monday.
The defender, who was signed by HNK Rijeka last summer, has played 14 competitive games for Frankfurt.
