“Today I am humbly asking you for another chance – another chance of being a better father, another chance of being a better son, another chance of being a better leader in my community and another chance to live a better life,” wrote Combs in the four -page letter that is Rolling Stone. “I don’t write this to gain pity or sympathy, this experience is simply the truth of my existence and has changed my life forever and I will never commit a crime again.”

Combs, who indicated that it was “sober for the first time in 25 years”, continued: “These were the toughest two years of my life, and I have no one for my current reality and situation.”
Sean Combs, 55, has been in federal prison for over a year after he was arrested in the case in September 2024. On July 2, he was sentenced by a jury for two charges in connection with the transport to prostitution. The jury rejected three more serious charges and found that the prosecutors could not prove that Combs led a blackmail confusion or had sexually traded two former friends. The acquittals meant that Combs no longer had to expect a lifelong prison sentence. At that time the Mogul clenched the fist and fell on his knees when he celebrated in the courtroom.

“I made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I no longer run away from them,” he wrote. “I’m really sorry for the pain I have caused, but I understand that the mere words ‘I’m sorry’ will never be good enough, since these words alone cannot erase the pain from the past.”
In the last week of the judgment submitted, Combs’ defense did not demand more than 14 months in prison and argued that his conviction did not include a “professional wake” or “brothels, pimp or minor”.
