Germany’s basketball star Dennis Schröder recently hired at an NBA team in California. Now he leaves this again.
Dennis Schröder is about to change again in the NBA. After just a few weeks at the Golden State Warriors, the German national team captain will in future be able to appear for UTAH Jazz. The 30-year-old was continued as part of a large-scale exchange transition around star player Jimmy Butler.
Schröder only switched from the Brooklyn Nets to the Warriors in December and became team -mate of Stephen Curry there. Now the Warriors have apparently decided to bring Butler into their squad after the last time was blocked by Miami Heat. In the complex trade, in which a total of six teams and seven players were involved, the Warriors also emitted Andrew Wiggins and Kyle Anderson.
Another top -class transfer had caused a sensation at the weekend: Luka Dončić moved from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers, in return Anthony Davis went to Dallas. Ex-international Maxi Kleber was also handed over to the Lakers by the Mavericks.
In view of the Dončić change, Schröder clearly criticized the NBA transfer system. He said to the broadcaster NBC on Monday: “At the end of the day it is modern slavery. Everyone can decide where to go, even if you have a contract.” Although you earn a lot of money and can feed your family, players would hardly have a say: “If they say: ‘You don’t get to work tomorrow, you go there’, then you can decide.
