School gate Sancta Maria opens for the last time in Ruiselede

Last year was the last in which teachers taught in Sancta Maria. The closure was then met with heavy protest and students and teachers even formed a human chain. The small school saw the number of students dwindle and the infrastructure was outdated. That’s why high school dropped out. The former teachers and students now look back nostalgically on the warm memories.
