Darts sensation: German duo throws out England stars

Luke Littler and Luke Humphries were actually the favorites in the duel with Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko. Then it turned out very differently.
Big cheers in the Frankfurt ice rink: Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko provided a coup at the team World Cup and defeated the highly traded English duo Luke Littler and Luke Humphries with 8: 4. The German team is thus in the quarter -finals of the World Cup of Darts.
“We believed in ourselves,” said Schindler after the success. Team colleague Pietreczko said: “We are here to win.” Schindler stepped onto the euphorie and warned his team partner for caution: “Leave the church in the village.” You have to take one step after the other.
The Germans caught the better start against the English team, which had free time until the round of 16. After a 2-0 lead, England briefly came to 2-2, but then the hosts took the command. Driven by the frenetic audience, Schindler and Pietreczko moved to 7: 2 – the preliminary decision. The English shortened again, but the first match dart was sitting.
Previously, Schindler and Pietreczko had already won victories against Singapore and Portugal. The new world champion duo can look forward to prize money of around 94,000 euros. The quarter -final games begin on Sunday at 1 p.m., from 7 p.m. the semi -finals and finals follow. The tournament is transferred from the streaming service.
