Schalke sports director Youri Mulder expressed self-criticism after the announced separation of coach Kees van Wonderen at the end of the season. “Kees kept the mirror a little bit. Van Wonderen had complained about a lack of backing at the weekend and announced his farewell to the end of the season despite a contract until 2026. Schalke officially made this on Wednesday, the decision was made the day before. “Kees from Frank Baumann and me experienced it,” said Mulder. The future sports director Baumann now has to find a new trainer.
