Loris Karius could stay at FC Schalke 04 beyond summer. As the “kicker” reports, squad planner Ben Manga and Director Professional football Youri Mulder trust him as a tram goalkeeper next season. To do this, he would first have to get fit again after a structural muscle injury on the left calf and then get a new contract with the royal blue.
An offer for further collaboration is realistic, but it is reported that the low references that the 31-year-old signed in January of this year. If Karius then prove itself again, the salary could be adjusted promptly, for example in winter.
Actually, the highly indebted Gelsenkircheners with Karius are said to have made a different agreement and, when extended in the summer, he should have promised a salary increase. However, the injury now came in between, which is why the keeper is returned to the summer preparation at the earliest. Since his change, the former Liverpool professional has played four games for Schalke, in which he remained without conceding a goal. The miners had taken him after six months of association.
