Sara Doorsoun played in Frankfurt for years and then moved to America. Now she is returning after six months.
The Eintracht Frankfurt footballers can look forward to the return of an old friend. Former national player Sara Doorsoun is moving back to Frankfurt after six months at Angel City FC in Los Angeles, Eintracht announced.
Doorsoun, who ended her national team career in June 2025 after 59 international matches, made eight appearances in the USA. Despite fulfilling a dream by moving to the USA, she “didn’t have a day when I didn’t think about Frankfurt,” said Doorsoun. She describes her return as a decision of the heart, similar to the move in the summer.
Katharina Kiel, director of women’s football in Frankfurt, explained that contact with Doorsoun was never broken. “It turned out that a return in winter is not only possible, but also makes sense for all parties,” said Kiel.
