Ruud van Nistelrooij will not succeed Roger Schmidt at PSV

Ruud van Nistelrooij will not succeed Roger Schmidt after this football season as PSV head coach. That said the coach of Jong PSV on Monday evening at ESPN, after the top match of his team against Jong Ajax.

Van Nistelrooij initially kept the door ajar, he nodded in front of the sports channel’s camera. But he has decided that he will ‘stay with his trajectory’ and will remain coach of Jong PSV for the time being.

long thinking
PSV has to look for a new head coach, because Roger Schmidt indicated last week that he was going to leave the club. The club management wanted to continue with the German, who has an expiring contract. But Schmidt decided not to go into this after much consideration.

Why, the German has not disclosed.

Big speculate
As soon as Schmidt announced that he was going to leave the Eindhoven football club, the great speculation about his succession immediately started. Van Nistelrooij’s name soon fell, because he is a club icon and performs well with Jong PSV in the Kitchen Champion Division.

Other coaches associated with PSV include Ronald Koeman (has no club since he had to leave Barcelona), Phillip Cocu (free since he left England’s Derby County), Wim Jonk (who impresses in the Keuken Kampioen Division at FC Volendam), Thomas Letsch (who performs well with Vitesse in both the Eredivisie and Europe) and Sparta trainer Henk Fraser, who recently announced that he was leaving Rotterdam.
